We are proud to bring you the only AWA pork in King County!
Our heritage Berkshire hogs spend their days rooting through the woods, climbing on stumps, and napping in the grass. All our hogs are bred, born, and raised on our farm and new breeding boars are brought in every few years to diversify genetics. All piglets stay with their mother and siblings to nurse for a minimum of eight weeks. Once weaned, they enjoy a non-GMO, corn-free, soy-free diet along with organic veggies from local farms.
We do not castrate, dock piglets' tails, or cut their teeth, and medications are only administered when medically necessary. Sows (mother pigs) are given plenty of rest between litters and live with one another when not raising piglets. The hogs' paddocks are frequently rotated to provide them with fresh earth and a mud wallow is always available for hogs to play, roll in and cool down.
Berkshire, Kurobuta, Black Pig - all names for famously flavorful pork. This heritage pork is beautifully marbled, richly-colored, tender, moist, and darn tasty.
